Interest vs Commitment

@SimonAlexanderO

There's a big difference between being interested in something and being committed to it. Interest looks like excitement on a good day. Commitment looks like discipline on the hard days.

Interest is reading the book. Commitment is applying what you learned. Interest is saying "I'd love to change". Commitment is doing the work long after the feeling has passed.

Interest loves distraction. Commitment loves progress. Interest waits until the new year to make changes. Commitment begins today.

Truth is: anyone can be interested, but the life you want - the health, the happiness, the purpose and the freedom - only arrives when you commit. And that commitment is what carries you through the messy middle where most people give up.
